GLEN ROCK, NJ, April 07, 2011, Janet Ann Romeo, Kindergarten Aide at the Academy of Our Lady School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in child care.
With 20 years of experience as a kindergarten aide at the Academy of Our Lady School. Ms. Romeo is responsible for alternating with teachers to provide instruction to kindergarten students. She guides their work on the theme of the week, supervises lunch and outside play, and assists them with special projects, such as prayer partner cards. In addition, she ensures that students receive snacks and helps them with daily tasks. When the students are given craft assignments for special occasions, she helps them cut, paste, write and wrap handmade gifts. Ms. Romeo also supervises the after-school care program for pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade students.
Before working for the Academy of Our Lady School, she helped her sister run an after-school care program; discovering that she enjoyed this kind of work, she decided to venture in her current position. Ms. Romeo attributes her success to her family.
