BRONX, NY, February 02, 2011, opera singer Kreshnik Zhabjaku has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.
Mr. Zhabjaku has been a professional singer for more than 30 years. Specializing in operatic performance, he attributes his success to his passion and dedication for music. His successful career is filled with numerous honors, achievements and special performances. He began winning competitions at the age of 12, taking first place in the Young Voices competition in his native Albania. In 1997, he earned a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance with honors from Tirana’s Academy of Fine Arts. He then went on to study at the Mannes College of Music, NYC and complete a master degree in music. He performs internationally and has received acclaimed reviews in the Washington Post and the Houston Chronicle. He was recently chosen to be a finalist in the Nico Castel International Master Singer Competition.
Now based in New York, Mr. Zhabjaku’s operatic career includes a plethora of roles in some of music’s most prestigious compositions. Additionally, he has made television appearances as part of PBS’s programming. His honors include the Franco Gentilesca Young Artist Award, an Arleen Auguer memorial fund scholarship, and an Albanian American Women’s Organization scholarship.
