Her affiliations include the Society of Illustrators, Inc. Over her career, she has received numerous honors for her work, including a Pinnacle Book Acheivement Award, a Family Choice Award, and a Reviewer’s Choice Award. She also received a grant for painting from MIT in 2001. Outside of work, she is a supporter of nonprofit organizations such as the Smile Train, Make it Right, and Heifer International; she also donates paintings to local schools for auction to provide scholarships.
